The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith enrolls 6,531 undergrads


At the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, 78 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Fort Smith enrolled 6,557 students in fall 2018, including 6,531 in undergraduate and 26 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

88 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arkansas, and 12 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (66 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (13 percent).
