Graduates earn 631 degrees, certificates from North Arkansas College


About 39.3 percent of the 631 degrees and certificates handed out by North Arkansas College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Harrison conferred 185 certificates and 63 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies. Data shows the school gave out 85 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies, followed by 79 associate's degrees in general studies and 74 certificates in general health services/allied health/health sciences.

The college enrolled 1,821 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
